How it works (Very briefly)
Our mobile technician will travel to you anywhere in the UK at your convenience and obtain the information about your vehicle from it’s ECU or on board computer using dedicated specialist hardware, then after carefully programming the files to meet your requirements exactly, we safely input this back into your vehicle and your car is tuned with a lifetime warranty on the remap. It sounds simple, and it is (but only by using the most up to date equipment on the market and lead by staff with over 40 years experience in the motor industry).
What is ECU Remapping?
Most modern day vehicles contain an Engine Control Unit (ECU) that is effectively a small computer which controls how the engine works. Vehicle manufacturers de-tune the engine by setting the software on the ECU to default before sending the vehicle out. This is done due to the manufacturers having to sell their cars all over the world, this means that the software settings on the ECU must take into account different climates, laws & restrictions and varying quality of fuels. Vehicle remapping is the adjustment of the manufactures default software on a vehicles ECU to meet you requirements in the United Kingdom/ Europe.
What are the benefits?
There are many reasons to choose vehicle remapping. Firstly, you will notice that your engine responds better when the accelerator is pressed.
